The Toronto Board of Health approved $75,000 in emergency funding this week to help poor and elderly residents fight bedbug infestations.

Every year Torontonians travel to the corners of the earth but many bring home some unwanted souvenirs: namely bedbugs.
Bedbugs were eliminated in Toronto 50 years ago but have made a dramatic comeback in the last seven to 10 years.
Pest control specialists say incidences of bedbug infestation have doubled since last year.
